This hands free leash was made using the west country whipping knot.
Supplies Needed:
- Scissors
- Paracord – To make a 6 foot leash you will need 70 feet of each color of paracord. If you tie the initial knot so one color is in the middle and the other color is on either side of the middle color you only need the middle color to be the length you want the leash to be.
- Lighter – To singe the ends of the paracord. Can also be used to finish and melt the ends to the main cords at the end of the paracord dog leash.
- Dog Leash Clip – You can use whatever you prefer as the dog leash clip. In my video I used a lobster clasp rated for a maximum weight of 40 pounds.
- Paracord Jig (Optional) – This is helpful for keeping your paracord tight when working. The one I used in this video can be found at https://amzn.to/2Mty2gp. There is a smaller paracord jig also https://amzn.to/2wdkVWi.
- Paracord Lacing Needle (Optional) – This is helpful for getting the paracord through tight spaces like in the finishing knot. https://amzn.to/2nGCiLA
