DIY Paracord Dog Leash – Thin Line Solomon Bar

DIY Paracord Dog Leash Thin Line Solomon Bar Knot

In this video I show you how to make a diy paracord dog leash using the thin line solomon bar knot.

The main part of this leash was made using the thin line solomon bar knot. The handle was made using a two strand snake knot. The finishing knot at the end of the handle is a footrope knot.

Supplies Needed:

  1. Scissors
  2. Paracord – The length depends on the length you want the leash to be. In the video I used 11 feet and 8 inches of paracord. The length of the leash was 9 inches and the handle was 3 inches.
  3. Lighter – To singe the ends of the paracord. Can also be used to finish and melt the ends to the main cords at the end of the paracord dog leash.
  4. Dog Leash Clip – You can use whatever you prefer as the dog leash clip. In my video I used a lobster clasp rated for a maximum weight of 40 pounds.
